Dr. Logan Brooke

Dr. Brooke’s passion for Chiropractic began at an early age because of how transformative it was in his own life. Like many young children, he developed ear infection in the Summer between second and third grade.  His parents chose the typical medical route with antibiotics, even more antibiotics and time inside. Dr. Brooke recalls:

When I returned to school in the Fall my ears were so swollen, painful, and I couldn’t hear. School became a nightmare.  One day I woke up and refused to go back to school. Fortunately, my mother believed there had to be a better option than endless rounds of ineffective antibiotics. A neighbor recommended a Chiropractor and that is when I finally experienced relief and care that changed everything. To this day,  I vividly recall my first adjustment.  But even more, I remember waking up the next day without the stabbing pain of an ear infection.  After my second adjustment, the swelling was gone and I was able to return to school. It was life changing. Not only did I solve a serious problem but it set me on a path for a career and profession I am truly passionate about.

Fast forward to today and you’ll find Dr. Brooke practicing chiropractic, just like his childhood hero!  He is a 2005 cum laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic.  He has been serving the New River Valley since 2009.  He earned the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician designation in 2012. He provides care for the entire family that leads to happier, healthier and more fulfilled lives!

When not serving patients, Dr. Brooke is active in his community.  He has served as the team Chiropractor for Radford University as well as the Virginia Tech Triathlon and Rugby club teams.  He is a past president of the Mt. Tabor Ruritan Club.

Dr. Brooke’s wife, Tess, is a STEM teacher at Kipps Elementary School in Blacksburg and also enjoys living and active a health-focused life, to include working as a Fitness Instructor.

When he isn’t busy helping others live happy and fulfilling lives, Dr. Brooke is busy living his own happy life! He loves to travel with Tess, and they especially enjoy visiting National Parks. When home, the Brookes stay busy keeping up with their dog, cats, and chickens. Dr. Brooke and Tess seek to live a healthy lifestyle that allows them to enjoy today and many tomorrows to come.

Tara Underwood

“I first met Dr. Brooke in 2016 when I needed to find a reliable doctor to care for me as a student athlete as a college basketball player.  He listened to my past experiences and what I wanted to gain out of my adjustments. I knew right then and there he was a doctor who truly cared for his patients and wanted the best for them. I continued seeing Dr. Brooke for proactive care to keep me in top physical condition.”

Tara Underwood is the Office Manager at Adjust NRV. She is your go-to gal for scheduling and keeping the clinic running smoothly.  Her goal for this clinic is to live up to our slogan, “Live Your Best Life” and to have patients see our “why”.  Tara believes in building a world where people are inspired for better health and to know they are like family to us, and we are always here for them.

Tara previously worked with Dr. Brooke and when he decided he wanted to open his own clinic, she took that time to venture out more into the medical field. She went into dentistry, first as a patient coordinator and then onto being a dental assistant. After being away for two years, Tara is excited to be back and be a part of this amazing company Dr. Brooke has created.  She enjoys seeing all of our previous patients and meeting new ones.  Seeing the amazement and tears of joy on our patients’ faces after getting the relief they need is what she loves about chiropractic care. Tara graduated from Radford University in 2019 with a degree in Design Management with minors in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.  She and her husband, Evan, were married in August 2022 with Dr. Brooke serving as the officiant.  Tara and Evan like to relax at home and play with their goofy pup Buddy, who they rescued in 2021 and watch sports with their friends and family.
